Ryan Shondell is the Executive Director for Data Services at OCLC. He leads global teams, including multiple distributed engineering teams across the Americas, Europe and Asia. In these roles he and his teams have shipped on-premise software, built cloud-native microservice platforms and applied machine learning techniques to massive data sets that service thousands to hundreds of thousands of users. Tonjia Coverdale, Ph.D. is the (CIO) Chief Information Officer for Central State University. She holds 22 years as an IT professional including including roles with IBM, HP, Accenture, and executive experience as President / CEO of the Virgin Islands Next Generation Network, where she completed the construction of a $118M fiber-optic, middle-mile network that is one of the first 100% fiber-optic broadband networks in the U.S. Come hear her approach as an IT executive, professional, and scholar, as she combines her unique approach of academic theories, applied research, industry practices, entrepreneurial insight and strategic focus.
